After the ‘iron curtain’ fell, the Polish-German Choral Academy ‘In Terra Pax’ played a part in holding a disintegrating Europe together. Thanks to our choir, and through a common love of music, more than 1000 people from Poland and Germany made friends with each other, regardless of language. We have gotten to know and learned to appreciate each other. We build bridges of friendship between our countries, and, having seen the results, will continue building.
In the near future, however, ‘In Terra Pax’ may face huge financial problems.. Resources of the Foundation of Polish-German cooperation, that has supported us financially from the beginning, will soon run out. Starting in 1998, the finances allocated to aid our work have been regularly dropping. Until now we have managed to cope by raising the fees for our choir members, however, we have now reached a limit that we cannot exceed. Sponsors, therefore, are becoming more and more precious to us.
We now ask you to support the Polish-German Choral Academy ‘In Terra Pax’ with even the smallest contribution. Your help will enable us to create spaces in the choir for future applicants.
In return we will give some contributors an opportunity to present themselves to our audiences on posters, tickets and programmes; We will set up a link from our website to yours and we will send you a receipt from the Association of Friends of the Choir. We also look forward to your ideas and suggestions.
An ideological aspect is of even more importance here: you will appear as an individual or institution supporting and accelerating the process of the unification of Europe; someone who is aware that the future can be faced only together with neighbors and partners.
